The Exchange Church Building Campaign
First and foremost, we are asking you to pray and discern with us. Please pray for wisdom, timing, and for God to make a way for us to have a permanent presence in our city.

In South Florida, as it is in Heaven . . .In South Florida, as it is in Heaven . . .
As soon as any church starts to pray about purchasing a property with the desire for a long-term presence in a community there are a flood of thoughts and questions come to our minds.
Why do we need a church building? Is it worth it? What will we use the property for? Is this the best use of the church’s money? In this booklet, we hope to answer some of those questions, but our heart and approach to this endeavor is one of humility and a heart to discern the Lord’s will.
After walking through 2020 and all that the pandemic threw our way, we were given a fresh vision and deep desire to find a permanent location to call home. Since The Exchange Church’s conception, we have been tossed around to 7 different locations including virtual. Sadly, we have gotten use to watching church online or even developing an idea that church is something you can tune into rather than be a part of. We don’t want to create spectators but active participants in the Kingdom. Our hope is that The Exchange isn’t just a service to attend but a community to belong to.
Our prayer is that by purchasing a building we will create a permanent presence to gather, equip, train, meet, and serve the community. We want our presence to be “A city on a hill” as Jesus said.
By God’s grace, we have always found somewhere to meet. But we have also seen how fragile leasing a property can be. Whether it’s a worldwide pandemic, remodeling, scheduling conflicts, or rent increases we’ve been displaced many times. We believe a building would allow us to have a faithful presence in South Florida.
Regardless of where we gather, I deeply believe that Jesus is faithful and will meet with us whether we own space or lease. The gospel will be preached & lived out whether or not we have a place we can call home. But I also believe we will be better stewards in the long term by putting down permanent roots. We can be more efficient with our time and resources when it comes to making disciples, loving our community, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus.
We ask that you pray and consider your role in what this looks like. We will need radical prayer warriors and radical generosity for this endeavor. We know only the grace of God can move our hearts this way. We are so excited and expectant to see the Lord move in powerful ways.
